Monica Leonard, the Manager of Sheridan Insurances and Financial Service's Monaghan office was recently awarded a Diploma in Management from the Institute of Learning Management.
The course involved tutored workshops, online study and mentor support.
It covered a wide range of topics including Finance and Numeracy, Meeting Customer Needs, Self Management, Skills, Planning and Resources, Information and Communication, Health and Safety and People Management.
"I really enjoyed the course", says Monica. "At times it was hard work but it was very worth while and I learned a lot, much of which can be put into practice in the office."
The course was delivered by Constructive Intervention Ltd and sponsored by Monaghan County Enterprise Board and Sheridan Insurances and Financial Services.

Monica received her Diploma at an award ceremony in Monaghan County Enterprise Board's headquarters in the M: TEK Building which is located on the outskirts of Monaghan.
"It is great opportunity to broaden your knowledge in a local setting, as no matter how long you work in an industry there is always more to learn", says Monica,"it also gives you a fresh outlook on your work and makes it more enjoyable."
